Tux On Ice kernel 3.2 patches!

Last Update: 2012-04-05 The Army needs more gin and juice!

Tux On Ice patch for kernel 3.2.10 This works with vanilla kernel 3.2.10 and 3.2.13, and should work in all kernels from 3.2.6 to 3.2.13 inclusive. I've tested it on the x86-32 architecture, and I've got a report from Oon-Ee Ng that it works on x86_64 as well. The patch is almost exactly the same as the patch for 3.2.1. Someone somewhere changed the thaw_kernel_threads() function in 3.2.6, and that caused a patch hunk to fail—oops. Fixed to prevent patch failure.

Tux On Ice patch for kernel 3.2.1 This works with vanilla kernel 3.2.1, but I've only tested it on the x86-32 architecture. Others have said it works fine on the x86_64 arch. This patch really should work just fine for vanilla kernels from 3.2.1 through 3.2.5, as far as I can tell.

NOTE: Most of the links above lead to similar patches. These links are mostly here for search engines to index, as Fabrice Delente pointed out to the mailing list since he searched for "tux on ice kernel 3.2.11" and didn't find this page.

If these fail miserably on non-x86 things, it might be my fault, or it might be something else. I don't know. I'm pretty new to this kernel-developing thing.

Tux on Ice is mostly developed by Nigel Cunningham (his official website for Tux On Ice) , but he's awfully busy right now, and folks have asked for this, so....

Whatever tiny modifications I've done to Nigel and the other Tux On Ice developers' work are, of course, released under the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.
